In 2022 we performed Handel’s Fernando at both the London and Halle Handel Festivals. Rescheduled from 2020, we were delighted to finally be able to give the premiere performances of the new Bärenreiter critical edition. We received an enthusiastic welcome at both festivals. Another Halle Handel Festival triumph

Our mini-tour of Handel's pasticcio Venceslao (HWV A4) began with a well-received premiere at the London Handel Festival in April and ended with a near sell-out and standing ovation in Halle in June. It was our third consecutive visit to Handel's home town in Germany and our reception appears to be getting better and better, The mostly German audience were hugely appreciative of our performance.

The joint promotion by the LHF and the Halle Festival is continuing in 2020 and 2021. Next year will see us perform a Handel rarity, Fernando, Re di Castiglia (HWV 30). We will let you know more about this opera later. In 2021 we plan to return to our series of Handel pasticcii.
